I'm Rey Sucgang, a registered Mortgage Adviser with over eight years of experience helping New Zealanders achieve their property goals. Before becoming a mortgage broker, I spent seven and a half years working within a major bank, starting as a home lender and working my way up to a team manager role, coaching and guiding other home lenders on properly processing and presenting applications. That experience gave me a genuine, inside understanding of how banks actually assess and approve lending. Eventually I made the move to broking, because I believe clients deserve more options than what a single bank can offer them.
I believe getting a mortgage shouldn't feel confusing or overwhelming. My job is to explain your options in plain English, guide you through every step, and make sure your home loan is structured to support both your current lifestyle and your future goals.

Before moving into mortgage broking, I spent seven and a half years working within a major bank. I started as a home lender, then progressed into a team manager role overseeing other home lenders, coaching and guiding them on properly processing applications and presenting them the right way to get the best outcome. That experience gave me a genuine understanding of how lending decisions are actually made from the inside, not just the customer facing side of it. I made the move to broking because I believe clients are better served with access to multiple lenders, not just one.
I meet the competency, knowledge, and ethical standards required under New Zealand's Financial Markets Conduct Act and complete ongoing professional development to ensure my advice remains current as lending policies and market conditions evolve. My advice is also subject to regular compliance reviews and independent auditing, giving clients confidence that every recommendation is backed by professional standards — not just good intentions.
